Dr. Joseph Pittman, a local Georgia native, was honorably discharged in 1995 after completing six years of submarine service. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Valdosta State University and received his doctorate of optometry from Southern College of Optometry. Dr. Pittman has written multiple articles and given numerous lectures about eye care for the community and medical groups. His skills and professional demeanor have won the respect of his patients and colleagues.

Dr. Pittman is a member of both the American Optometric Association and the Georgia Optometric Association. The Pittman family resides in Liberty County near Riceboro.
